Although the Work and Travel program provides an unforgettable experience for students, there are some concerns or questions of the participants’ families during and after the registration process. These concerns are quite natural considering that the participants will spend a summer thousands of kilometers away from their countries. So, what are these questions or concerns and their answers?
- Will there be a person or institution that will provide support while the student is there? What will he/she do if he/she encounters a problem?
If our participant encounters a problem while in the USA, he/she can contact his/her sponsor through the emergency line, or contact his/her consultants via Skype or email. The participant will not be alone in the face of the problems he/she encounters with the support of both his/her sponsor and our company.
- We hear that the health system in the USA is very expensive and problematic, what will the student do if he/she faces a health problem while there?
When our student registers for the program, he/she is provided with a comprehensive health insurance valid for $150,000 during his/her work period. Therefore, our participant does not need to worry if he/she faces any health problem.
- What will happen if the student is exposed to racism or ill-treatment at work while in the USA?
In order to avoid such a situation, our company and our sponsor in the USA pay great attention to the selection of employers. Since most of them have been accepting WAT students for years, they are very knowledgeable about the program. In case of such a complaint, the employer is removed from the program scope.
- What will happen if the place where the student will stay is problematic or not clean?
Our participant views all the details and conditions about accommodation during the job selection process, in case of such a situation, our company and our sponsor take action quickly and do the necessary procedures.
- What will happen if the student has to choose a job that he/she cannot do?
We take note of the student’s requests during registration and take into account the jobs that he/she does not want to do due to health problems or personal reasons. Therefore, students are not placed in jobs that they will be unhappy or have trouble with.
