COOP is a combination of training and paid internships offered at public universities or private colleges in Canada. Thanks to COOP, participants gain the opportunity to gain both education and work experience.

The program offers education in fields such as business, management, sales and marketing, informatics, and graphic design, and job opportunities for these sectors. Although the duration of education varies according to the preferred field, it can be 1 or 2 years. The fact that the student has a work permit during the education period is among the reasons for choosing the program.

So, who can participate in this program?

Contrary to what is thought, the conditions for participation in the program are quite simple.

Schools find it sufficient for the participant to be at least a high school graduate and have an appropriate English level for the requested program.

You can present your English proficiency with the IELTS test result. Those who do not have an IELTS score can offer different exam alternatives deemed appropriate by the school to which they will apply, or they can take the school’s exams.

Failing these exams does not mean giving up the program. Every institution can accept you on the condition of a language school/EAP. In addition to these criteria, students who will attend a higher education program must complete the Wonderlic Test, which includes simple logic questions that are required by the government. Most schools send sample questions and free trial tests. After the successful completion of the test, your registration process is completed.
