Work and Travel program is a program that has been active in the world and in our country for a long time. In this process, there have been major changes in some parts. Some of these changes are business areas where we can work. Students can’t choose these prohibited jobs as their first or second jobs. Working in such jobs may lead to program cancellation. Therefore, since your advisors will not recommend you prohibited jobs, you should definitely stay away from these jobs while you are setting up your second job and have your job approved by the sponsor.
So, what are the prohibited jobs;
1- All factory works are prohibited.
2- Jobs such as bicycle taxi or wheelchair driver are on prohibited list.
3- Any work that requires a license is prohibited.
4 – Jobs with night shifts are prohibited.
5- Positions where you can work in hospitals or medical fields are prohibited.
6- Door-to-door sales are prohibited.
7- Any work that requires physical touching of people is prohibited.
8- Personal service jobs such as babysitting, nanny etc, are prohibited.
9- Warehouse and distribution works are prohibited.
10- Casino business is prohibited.
It will be advantageous for you to have information about which works are prohibited. There have been students who were expelled for working in these jobs. Please be careful when choosing a job, especially when choosing your second job. Good luck.
