One of the most important issues that students should pay attention to in Work and Travel program is the procedures to be done during getting the second job. The first thing the student should do after finding the second job is to notify the sponsor. After informing the sponsor about the place where he/she will work, the sponsor contacts the employer of the job, checks the degree of suitability of the job for the student and if the job is suitable, gets the information of the workplace. This process is called the vetting process and can take up to two weeks. During these two weeks, the student has to wait for notifying. If it is learned that you have taken a second job without the sponsor’s approval, the result of this action is termination, that is the cancellation of the program. It is beneficial for the students to follow the procedures and not to take risks related to the second job.
