For example, if a student works 40 hours a week at a job that pays $15 per hour, their weekly earnings would be $600. By working 40 hours per week for the duration of the 3-month program, they could earn approximately $7,200 in total. However, this figure may vary depending on job availability and working conditions. Some jobs offer overtime opportunities, which can increase earnings further.

How Many Hours Do You Work Per Day?

The daily working hours in the Work and Travel program are determined by the employer and the job’s requirements. Typically, students work between 32 and 40 hours a week, which equates to about 6 to 8 hours per day. However, some jobs, especially during busy seasons, may require more working hours. The contract made with the employer and the nature of the job during the program can affect working hours. There may also be slowdowns in work as schools reopen in September.

Is It Difficult to Get a Visa?

These steps include preparing the necessary documents, scheduling an interview, and paying the visa fee.

The application process requires applicants to prepare in advance and apply on time. It’s important to present the documents provided by the program sponsor correctly and completely when applying for a visa. In general, if the process is followed carefully, getting a visa may not be difficult. However, there are certain factors that the consulate pays attention to each year. For instance, the alignment of age and class year. For example, “Ahmet is 22 years old and in his first year of university.” In this case, the lost years could make it more difficult for Ahmet to get a visa.
